Doha:The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) Index began Monday's trading session with an increase of 19.97 points, or 0.23%, reaching 8,894 points. This rise was driven by gains in five sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the sectors showing positive performance included Banks and Financial Services with a 0.31% increase, Real Estate up by 0.30%, Transportation rising by 0.19%, Telecoms gaining 0.22%, and Industrials slightly increasing by 0.01%.

Conversely, the Consumer Goods and Services sector saw a decline of 0.37%, and the Insurance sector dropped by 1.43%. By 1000 am, QSE's trading volume totaled QR 34.409 million, with 17,002 million shares exchanged in 2,484 transactions.
