Qatar Stars League: Al-Arabi Signs Spanish Talent Gerard Hernandez on Five-Year Deal

Al-arabi: Al-Arabi SC has officially announced the signing of Spanish footballer Gerard Hernandez on a five-year contract, joining the Qatari side from Spanish club Villarreal.

According to Qatar News Agency, the club confirmed through a statement on its official website that the 20-year-old midfielder has signed with Al-Arabi's first team through the summer of 2030. Hernandez is set to join the squad's pre-season training camp in Valencia, Spain, as they prepare for the 2025-2026 season.

The club noted that Hernandez's arrival is part of a series of high-profile signings aimed at strengthening the squad. Other recent acquisitions include French midfielder Jordan Veretout from Olympique Lyon, Spanish forward Pablo Sarabia, and Kenyan striker Michael Olunga.

Hernandez, a promising young talent, is a current member of Spain's U-23 national team and has previously represented the country at the U-20 level.

Al-Arabi will kick off their new Qatar Stars League campaign on August 15 with a first-round fixture against Al-Wakrah.
