Umm salal: Umm Salal SC announced today the official signing of midfielder Ahmed Abdelmaqsoud from Al-Duhail SC, without disclosing the duration of the contract. Abdelmaqsoud is no stranger to Umm Salal, having previously played for the club on loan from Al-Duhail between 2013 and 2015.
According to Qatar News Agency, a seasoned midfielder, Abdelmaqsoud brings with him a wealth of experience in the Qatar Stars League, having previously played for several clubs including Al-Sadd, Al-Duhail, Al-Rayyan, Al-Arabi, Al-Ahli, and Al-Wakrah. Over the course of his career, he has won numerous titles and championships, and he now hopes to help Umm Salal achieve similar success. The club is aiming for a stronger performance in the upcoming season after finishing 11th in the league last season and securing their place in the Qatar Stars League by winning the playoff match against Al-Markhiya 2-1.
Umm Salal has made several signings during the current summer transfer window, including the acquisition of Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo on a contract until 2028. The club has also appointed French coach Patrice Carteron to lead the team next season.
