Qatar Reaffirms Support for Global Development Initiatives

Seville: The State of Qatar has reiterated its unwavering support for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and emphasized its commitment to enhancing international cooperation for inclusive and sustainable development. This commitment was underscored by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad at the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development in Seville, Spain.

According to Qatar News Agency, Her Excellency highlighted Qatar's active role since hosting the Doha Conference in 2008, maintaining a significant presence across all United Nations platforms dedicated to development financing. This involvement stems from Qatar's belief in the importance of collective action to tackle global challenges, including the digital divide, climate change, and the debt burdens of the least developed countries.

Her Excellency referenced the words of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries, emphasizing the need to transform joint commitments into national plans and effective policies. She stated that this vision is central to Qatar's development policies and international partnerships.

Her Excellency also expressed Qatar's pride in its partnership with the United Nations and its ongoing dedication to supporting education, health, and resilience-building, particularly in the most vulnerable countries, through an approach based on solidarity and human dignity.
