Qatar Rail Secures Prestigious Procurement Excellence Certificate from CIPS

Doha: Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) has been awarded the prestigious "Procurement Excellence" certificate from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), which is the leading global authority in defining best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

According to Qatar News Agency, the certificate was officially presented during a ceremony at Qatar Rail's headquarters, attended by HE Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Rail, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, and senior management representatives. The certificate was handed over by Ahsan Sarwar, General Manager of CIPS Arabia.

This achievement highlights Qatar Rail's commitment to excellence and the adoption of global best practices in procurement. The company is focused on ensuring financial sustainability and optimal resource use, while delivering added and sustainable value through professional procurement practices aligned with international standards.

The certificate serves as a testament to Qatar Rail's strong governance, ensuring continuity in supply and adherence to high standards in procurement. Sultan Khalifa Al Hitmi, Procurement Director at Qatar Rail, expressed pride in receiving the award, emphasizing the company's dedication to governance, transparency, and sustainable value delivery.

Sam Achampong, Regional Director for the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific at CIPS, stated that the certification is a validation of Qatar Rail's dedication to world-class procurement standards, equipping the company with enhanced capabilities to deliver value-driven procurement strategies.
