This letter, presented by Qatar's Permanent Representative to the ICAO, Essa Abdullah Al Maliki, detailed the attack as a significant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation. The letter emphasized that Qatar preserves all rights under international law.
In addition, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al Khulaifi, who leads the legal team appointed by the Cabinet to take legal action against Israel, met with ICC President Judge Tomoko Akane and Deputy Prosecutor Nazhat Shameem Khan at The Hague. These meetings are part of Qatar's broader efforts to ensure accountability for the Israeli government's actions. Discussions with ICC officials focused on the Israeli aggression against Qatari territory, classifying them as crimes under international criminal law, and exploring mechanisms for accountability through the Court.
