Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center’s Month-Long ‘Stamp and Currency’ Exhibition to Begin

Doha: The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center announced the organization of the ‘Stamp and Currency’ exhibition, in cooperation with Qatar Post. The exhibition will begin on Wednesday and continue for an entire month at the Qatar Post building.

According to Qatar News Agency, the exhibition features eight glass frames, each containing 16 panels. Seven frames are dedicated to displaying distinctive envelopes featuring the postage stamp and the country’s coin, bearing the country’s name and national flag, offering readers an introductory overview of its culture, civilization, and landmarks.

The exhibition paid special attention to displaying stamps from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as well as Arab, Islamic, and North African countries, due to their rich cultural and civilizational heritage. It also featured collections representing other countries from around the world. A brochure on stamps was also prepared in both Arabic and English to enhance the interest of visitors.

Through this exhibition, the Center emphasized its mission to nurture and develop the hobby of stamp and coin collecting, and to work to advance it and provide the appropriate conditions for its practice among its members and all interested parties.

The exhibition will be open to the public daily, welcoming all amateurs and those interested in the world of stamps and coins to visit this unique event at the Qatar Post headquarters.
