Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center to Showcase Award-Winning Stamps at Dubai 2026

Dubai: The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center (QPNC), operating under the Ministry of Culture, is gearing up for a significant presence at the Dubai 2026 World Stamp Exhibition. The event, organized by the Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA), is set to commence this Wednesday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and will span five days.

According to Qatar News Agency, this exhibition marks QPNC’s largest external participation to date. The center plans to display a collection of eight stamps, each of which has been honored with various international medals. A delegation of stamp collectors from Qatar will attend the event to engage with a diverse array of stamp collections presented by countries worldwide.

QPNC’s exhibition will feature several noteworthy collections, including the Second Regular Stamps of the State of Qatar (8 frames), the Postal History of the United Kingdom of Libya Stamps (5 frames), and Postal Services in Qatar, 1930-1963 (From Sheikhdom to State) (5 frames). Other highlights are the Monitored Lebanon Covers During World War II (5 frames), FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Stamps (5 frames), and Al Jazeera News Channel Journey Through Postal Cards (5 frames). Additionally, the Suspended Postal Covers During World War II (1 frame) and the thematic book, History of Qatar’s Stamps from the First Era to the Era of Sheikh Ahmad bin Ali Al-Thani, will also be showcased.

QPNC’s commitment to global philatelic activities is further evidenced by its membership in the Federation Internationale de Philatelie (FIP), the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP), and its role on the Executive Committee of FIAP. The center remains dedicated to participating in international exhibitions sanctioned by both FIP and FIAP.
