Qatar Participates in Chiefs of Police Summit in New York

The State of Qatar has participated in the fourth United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit (UNCOPS 2024), held at the UN headquarters, in New York.

HE Assistant Undersecretary for Technical and Specialized Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Staff Major General Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Suwaidi led the State of Qatar’s delegation to the summit.

Addressing the summit, HE Staff Major General Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Suwaidi underscored the State of Qatar’s commitment to international cooperation in security and safety fields, highlighting the State of Qatar’s backed efforts to bolster security and peace.

He emphasized the importance of international partnerships in addressing the shared security challenges, calling for reinforcing cooperation and sharing expertise among nations to enhance the global security capabilities and achieve peace and stability for the entire humanity.

The UNCOPS 2024 brings together chiefs of police from all over the world to discuss and address the pressing global security challenge
s, reinforce cooperation, and increase the global counter-terrorism capabilities and combating transnational crime.
