According to Qatar News Agency, this advancement follows Qatar's impressive performance at the inaugural 2025 AVC Men's Volleyball Nations Cup held in Manama, Bahrain. The team secured their victory in the tournament by defeating Bahrain in a gripping five-set final, concluding the match with a 3-2 scoreline. This triumph contributed a substantial 166.45 points to their global ranking.
In the upper echelons of the FIVB world rankings, Poland has maintained its leading position with 390.90 points. Italy remains a formidable contender in second place with 377.26 points. France holds the third spot with 353.60 points, and Brazil follows closely in fourth with 350.51 points.
