Belgrade: The Qatari national table tennis team has successfully concluded its intense training camp in Belgrade, Serbia, as part of an extensive preparation strategy set by the Qatar Table Tennis Association. This initiative aims to ready the team for the upcoming Arab Table Tennis Championships, which will take place in Morocco next month.
According to Qatar News Agency, the camp involved star players such as Abdullah Abdulwahab, Sultan Al Kuwari, and Ahmed Eid Qarni, among others. The athletes participated in rigorous daily training sessions under the guidance of Greek coach Daniel Tsiokas. The focus was on improving their technical skills, physical readiness, and refining tactical approaches through structured morning and evening sessions.
The Serbian camp also provided the Qatari players with the valuable opportunity to compete against top-tier European opponents. This experience is crucial for honing their skills and boosting their confidence as they gear up for the competitive environment of the Arab Championship.
The Qatar Table Tennis Association emphasized that the Belgrade training camp was an essential component of their preparation program. Their goal is to ensure that the players deliver peak performances and are strong contenders for medals at the forthcoming Arab event in Morocco.
The team is now set to undertake the final phase of their preparations in Doha before embarking on their journey to Morocco for the Arab Championships.
