Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced the latest deposit rates as of Thursday, detailing the interest rates applicable to various currencies and tenures.
According to Qatar News Agency, the newly issued rates cover a range of currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, and GBP. For USD deposits, the rates vary from 4.35363% for a one-month deposit to 3.98338% for a twelve-month deposit. The Japanese Yen (JPY) deposit rates start at 0.40000% for one month and rise to 0.55000% for twelve months. The Swiss Franc (CHF) shows negative rates, beginning at -0.17000% for a one-month deposit and reaching -0.05000% for a twelve-month deposit. The British Pound (GBP) rates are set at 3.99000% for one month and stabilize at 4.08000% for both six and twelve-month deposits.
For regional currencies, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) deposit starts at a rate of 4.80000% for one month and decreases to 4.45000% for a twelve-month tenure. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) rates begin at 4.90000% for one month and slightly decrease to 5.05000% over a year. The UAE Dirham (AED) starts at 2.05000% for a one-month deposit and increases to 3.15000% for twelve months. The Bahraini Dinar (BHD) has a consistent rate of 5.00000% for one to six-month deposits, before dropping to 4.50000% for a twelve-month deposit period.
