Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced the latest deposit rates for various currencies, effective from Tuesday. The deposit rates have been detailed for different durations ranging from one month to twelve months, covering a wide array of currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD.
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rate for USD opens at 4.31974% for a one-month term, gradually decreasing to 4.04150% for a twelve-month term. For the Japanese Yen (JPY), the one-month rate starts at 0.35000% and sees a rise to 0.55000% for twelve months. The Swiss Franc (CHF) begins with a one-month rate of 0.01000%, dipping to -0.11000% for a twelve-month deposit. The British Pound (GBP) shows an increase from 4.14000% for a one-month deposit to 4.67000% for twelve months.
In terms of regional currencies, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) starts at a deposit rate of 4.85000% for one month and decreases to 4.50000% for a one-year term. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) has a one-month rate of 4.90000%, which decreases to 4.80000% at the twelve-month mark. The UAE Dirham (AED) begins at 2.05000% for one month and reaches 3.15000% for a twelve-month deposit. Lastly, the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) starts at 5.23000% for a one-month term, decreasing to 4.71000% for a twelve-month deposit.
