Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has released its latest deposit rates for various currencies, effective from Tuesday. The announcement includes updated rates for the US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), Swiss Franc (CHF), British Pound (GBP), Qatari Riyal (QAR), Saudi Riyal (SAR), United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED), and Bahraini Dinar (BHD).
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 3.66000% for a one-month term and rise to 3.73859% for a 12-month term. For the Japanese Yen, the rates are consistent at 0.70000% for one, two, and three-month terms, with a slight increase to 1.08000% for a 12-month term.
The Swiss Franc rates begin at -0.30000% for a one-month term, gradually increasing to 0.17000% for a 12-month term. Meanwhile, the British Pound rates start at 3.67000% for one month and reach 4.61000% over 12 months.
In terms of local and regional currencies, the Qatari Riyal deposit rates begin at 4.07740% for a one-month term, decreasing to 3.75000% for a 12-month term. The Saudi Riyal remains mostly stable, with a slight variation starting at 4.50000% for one month and maintaining 4.30000% for longer terms.
For the United Arab Emirates Dirham, rates start at 2.05000% for a one-month term, peaking at 3.15000% for a 12-month deposit. The Bahraini Dinar begins at 4.60000% for one month, tapering off to 4.10000% for a 12-month period.
These changes reflect ongoing adjustments in the financial market and provide depositors with a range of options depending on their currency and term preferences.
