Qatar National Bank Announces Latest Deposit Rates

Doha: Deposit rates at the Qatar National Bank (QNB) were issued on Sunday, detailing the latest interest rates for various currencies.

According to Qatar News Agency, the rates for deposits in USD, JPY, CHF, and GBP show a range of interest rates depending on the duration of the deposit. For USD, the rates start at 3.66774% for a one-month deposit and increase to 3.82708% for a 12-month deposit. JPY deposit rates are consistent at 0.60000% for one and two months, rising to 1.18000% for a 12-month deposit. CHF rates are negative for short-term deposits, starting at -0.15000% for one month, but turn positive for longer durations, reaching 0.25000% for 12 months. GBP rates begin at 3.88000% for a one-month term and rise to 4.74000% for a 12-month term.

The deposit rates for regional currencies such as QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD also vary. For QAR, the rate starts at 4.10000% for a one-month deposit and decreases to 3.72500% for a 12-month deposit. SAR rates remain relatively stable, starting at 4.50000% for a one-month deposit and remaining at 4.30000% from the two-month to 12-month terms. AED deposit rates begin at 2.05000% for a one-month period and increase to 3.15000% for a 12-month period. BHD rates start at 4.55000% for a one-month deposit and slightly decrease to 4.63000% for a 12-month deposit.

These rates reflect the current economic conditions and the bank's strategy to attract deposits by offering competitive interest rates across different currencies and deposit terms.
