This achievement is seen as a cornerstone for building a more secure and stable future in the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, the signing ceremony of a Declaration of Principles was hosted by Qatar in Doha, marking a significant step toward peace and stability in the eastern region of the Congo. HE Ambassador of the DRC to Qatar, Valerie Lusamba Kabeya, expressed gratitude to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for his commitment to global peace and stability.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) highlighted Qatar's mediation efforts, emphasizing Qatar's active role in fostering regional and international peace. The United Arab Emirates also praised Qatar's efforts in facilitating the signing of the Declaration of Principles, acknowledging the importance of the event.
Libya recognized Qatar's diplomatic efforts over the past months, which facilitated constructive dialogue between the DRC government and the Congo River Alliance/March 23 Movement, aiming for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in the region.
