Qatar Hospitality Exhibition Concludes with Record Visitor Turnout, Highlighting Sector Growth.


Doha: The ninth edition of the Qatar Hospitality Exhibition, organized by IFP Qatar in collaboration with Qatar Tourism, successfully attracted nearly 12,000 visitors. The event, held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, featured 120 exhibitors from 20 countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the exhibition witnessed attendance from prominent local and international figures, including ambassadors and heads of international delegations. Haidar Mshaimesh, General Manager of IFP Qatar, emphasized the exhibition’s success, noting the diverse range of exclusive products and services offered by over 120 suppliers from sectors such as hospitality, tourism, and food and beverages, representing more than 20 countries.

Mshaimesh highlighted the event’s role in fostering partnerships between Qatari companies and their international counterparts, thereby promoting new tourism products and strengthening Qatar’s hospitality sector. The exhibition served as a platform for suppliers, investors, and industry spec
ialists to explore investment opportunities, exchange ideas, and discuss industry developments. It also showcased talents through specialized competitions and live cooking demonstrations.

He further explained that the 2024 Qatar Hospitality Exhibition aimed to elevate the tourism and hospitality sectors, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030’s goals for economic diversification. The exhibition emphasized tourism and hospitality as key drivers for market growth.

The 2024 edition also included a special recognition ceremony, “Ambassadors of Excellence,” honoring outstanding managers in Qatar’s hotel sector. The awards were presented by Omar Al Jaber, Acting Head of Tourism Development at Qatar Tourism. Additionally, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry participated with a pavilion hosting a Moroccan delegation as part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture.

Concurrent events such as the “Salon Culinaire” live cooking competitions featured over 175 chefs from leading hotels in Doha, showcasing their sk
ills across various culinary categories. The exhibition also debuted live cooking demonstrations by international chefs specializing in fine dining.

The event focused on enhancing customer experiences in Qatar’s hospitality and tourism sectors, aiming to support companies in improving the experience for both local and international visitors.
