Kuwait city: The State of Qatar, represented by HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, took part in a ceremony honoring pioneering projects and key figures in civil service, labour, and social affairs. This event unfolded alongside the ministerial meetings for civil service, labour, and social development affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Kuwait.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ceremony was graced by the presence of Ministers, Undersecretaries, and Heads of Civil Service, Administrative Development, Labour, and Social Development Affairs, along with delegations from GCC countries. It underscored the significance of partnerships with the private sector in bolstering job placement and localization strategies. The event aimed to spotlight the exemplary contributions of companies that have played a role in empowering national talents and enhancing their presence in the labour market, while also showcasing successful small business ventures.
Qatar was recognized for its efforts in job placement and localization, with Qatar National Bank (QNB) and Qatar Airways being honored. Additionally, the “Actor” project received accolades as the best small project among the GCC countries.
