Doha: Qatari newspapers have underscored the State of Qatar's ongoing commitment to supporting persons with disabilities and recognizing the importance of educators in society.
According to Qatar News Agency, the editorials praised the issuance of Law No. 22 of 2025 by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, which aims to empower persons with disabilities by ensuring their full participation in various life sectors. The law is seen as a crucial part of Qatar's efforts to uphold human rights and integrate persons with disabilities as active contributors to development and the nation's future.
The newspapers also highlighted the recent honoring of teachers by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, emphasizing the high regard Qatar holds for educators. This gesture reflects the state's belief that the advancement of nations is fundamentally linked to education and the role of teachers in sustainable development and national identity preservation. Al-Raya newspaper specifically noted the responsibility assigned to the Ministry of Social Development and Family to oversee the implementation of the new law, in coordination with relevant national entities.
