Qatar Family and Community Medicine Society Launches Inaugural Scientific Conference.


Doha: Qatar Family and Community Medicine Society (QFCMS) is organizing its inaugural scientific conference from November 21 to 23 under the theme “Collaboration – Innovation.” The event aligns with the advancements in digitalization and artificial intelligence, focusing on the latest developments in family and community medicine. Over three days, the conference will feature a lineup of experts and physicians presenting more than 40 activities, including lectures, workshops, and scientific discussions.

According to Qatar News Agency, an exhibition will be held on the sidelines, showcasing the latest offerings from sponsors and supporting organizations in the field of family and community medicine, along with a display of over 50 scientific research abstracts. Chairperson of the Qatar Family and Community Medicine Society and Conference Chair, Dr. Samia Al Abdullah, emphasized the event’s significance for healthcare professionals across sectors. She highlighted the opportunity to benefit from the sessions led
by specialized experts and the platform’s role in exchanging ideas and addressing challenges within the specialty.

The conference will host approximately 600 participants and feature over 15 exhibitors representing sponsors and supporters. Dr. Al Abdullah outlined the conference’s objectives, which include fostering innovation and best practices in family and community medicine through exploring the transformative roles of artificial intelligence, precision medicine, and advanced technologies in improving patient outcomes. Additionally, the event aims to promote patient safety, ethical decision-making, and mental well-being in the workplace.

Key topics will address the management of chronic diseases and conditions such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, chronic pain, anxiety disorders, and depression. The Qatar Family and Community Medicine Society operates as a non-profit professional body under the umbrella of the Qatar Doctors Association. Its primary mission is to enhance the doctors’ skills and knowle
dge while fostering community engagement to raise public awareness.
