Qatar Extends Remote Working for Government Employees by Another Day

Doha: The State of Qatar has announced the extension of remote working arrangements for employees across its government institutions. This extension will see remote working continue for another day, affecting employees in ministries, other government bodies, and public authorities and institutions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers released a statement on Sunday confirming that remote working would persist on Monday. This decision aligns with a prior announcement from the Secretariat regarding the adoption of remote work measures. However, the extension does not apply to employees in specific sectors such as the military, security, and health sectors, or to those whose responsibilities necessitate their physical presence at the workplace.

The General Secretariat has also advised citizens and residents to seek information from official sources and to adhere to the safety and security guidelines issued by the competent authorities in the country.
