St. Petersburg: The State of Qatar took part in the 13th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, themed "Law: Lessons of the Past for the World of the Future." Heading the Qatari delegation was HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi. The forum is scheduled from May 19 to 21 at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Center in St. Petersburg.
According to Qatar News Agency, the forum served as a platform for strengthening bilateral cooperation between ministries of justice. Discussions focused on signing agreements for exchanging expertise and reviewing key achievements and legal practices among participating countries.
The event also featured specialized exhibitions, panel discussions, roundtables, lectures, introductory presentations, and interactive meetings. These sessions allowed participants to engage in discussions on the latest legal developments and best practices, particularly the application of modern technologies in the legal sector.
Among the highlights of the forum is an open meeting for ministers of justice from participating countries. During this meeting, ministers are expected to present significant legal accomplishments and discuss shared strategic objectives, particularly in human rights protection, public freedoms, and the rule of law promotion.
