Kuwait city: The State of Qatar, represented by the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), took part in the 31st Meeting of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Committee for Under-Secretaries of Post and Telecommunications, hosted in the State of Kuwait. The Qatari delegation was led by CRA President Eng. Ahmad bin Abdulla AlMuslemani.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on various issues pertaining to the development of the postal and telecommunications sectors within GCC countries. The discussions also included follow-ups on a series of previous decisions and emphasized the significance of ongoing collaboration to keep up with digital transformation. The meeting aimed to further progress sustainable development and innovation across the region.
Eng. Ahmad bin Abdulla AlMuslemani remarked that Qatar's involvement in the meeting underscores the country's strong commitment to GCC cooperation in the postal and telecommunications sectors. These sectors are seen as essential for achieving regional development and integration. He noted that this commitment aligns with the CRA's strategy to support the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which helps enhance Qatar's regional and international position in these sectors. Furthermore, he highlighted that GCC cooperation serves as a common platform for sustainable development and innovation.
