Doha: The State of Qatar participated in the meeting of the committee of directors and heads of judicial and legal training centers and institutes in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries for the year 2026, which was held virtually on Tuesday. Qatar was represented by Dr. Abdullah Hamad Al Khaldi, Director of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies (CLJS).
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on discussing the working mechanism of directors and heads of judicial and legal training centers and institutes. The participants explored ways to implement joint training programs between GCC countries, aiming to enhance Gulf integration and facilitate the exchange of experiences.
The committee reviewed draft standards for planning and implementing training, alongside the design of training packages to improve the quality and efficiency of the training system across GCC countries. A "Training of Trainers" program project was also examined, along with various topics related to enhancing joint Gulf action in judicial and legal training, leading to the adoption of appropriate recommendations.
Qatar's involvement in the meeting reflects its commitment to fostering joint Gulf cooperation and developing national capabilities in the judicial and legal fields, aligning with the best international practices.
