Qatar Engages in Biometric Database and Document Verification Discussions in Tunisia

Tunis: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Interior, took part in the second meeting focused on establishing a biometric and ballistics database. This meeting was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in the Republic of Tunisia.

According to Qatar News Agency, the delegation from the Ministry was led by Brig. Ibrahim Abdullah Al Binali, the Director of the Forensic Lab Department. The committee addressed several agenda topics and formulated relevant recommendations.

In a separate event, Colonel Mohammed Ali Al Mohannadi, an expert in forgery and counterfeiting analysis at the Forensic Lab Department, represented the Ministry of Interior in a collaborative workshop on document and identity verification. During this workshop, Qatar's involvement in the FRONTES program, associated with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), was highlighted.
