Qatar Engages in Arab Sustainability Day at Arab League

Cairo: The State of Qatar took part in the Arab Sustainability Day 2026 celebration, organized at the General Secretariat of the Arab League's headquarters, focusing on the theme 'Path of Sustainable Development: A Decade of Achievements.'

According to Qatar News Agency, Amna Abdulrahman Al Sulaiti represented the Permanent Delegation of the State of Qatar to the Arab League during the event. The celebration saw high-level participation from representatives of the Arab League member states, officials, experts, and civil society organizations.

The event featured a dialogue session that discussed the contributions of civil society organizations towards achieving sustainable development goals in Arab countries. Additionally, the celebration included an honors segment recognizing several Arab figures for their work in sustainable development.

The Arab Sustainability Day, observed annually on February 16, aims to enhance awareness of sustainability concepts and showcase the achievements of Arab countries and stakeholders in meeting international goals. The event also emphasizes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), their objectives, and strategies to foster a supportive Arab environment for these initiatives.
