Qatar Duo Top Group to Reach Second Round at Adelaide Beach Volleyball Worlds

Doha: The Qatari team has advanced to the second round of the Beach Volleyball World Championships (Adelaide 2025) after clinching the top spot in their group with three consecutive victories.

According to Qatar News Agency, the team consisting of Cherif Younes and Ahmed Tijan secured their place by defeating Austria 2-0 in their final group match, with scores of 21-12 and 22-20, achieving a flawless record. Earlier in the tournament, Qatar triumphed over Cuba with scores of 21-14, 21-18, and overcame Switzerland 21-15, 21-15.

The competition, which will be held in Adelaide until November 23, includes 48 men's and 48 women's teams, showcasing both Olympic champions and emerging nations. Qatar, who previously won bronze at Tokyo 2020 and placed fourth at Paris 2024, is looking to sustain their impressive performance in international beach volleyball.
