Qatar crowned the champion of the Beach Handball Global Tour Finals after beating Brazil 2-1. The event concluded today and was organized by Qatar Handball Association (QHA) at Al Gharafa beach stadiums.
The Brazilian team ended the first half with 24-12 win, but the Qatari team made a strong comeback in the second half to end it in its favor by 26-22. In penalty shootouts, the Qatari team achieved 5-4 to end the match with 2-1 victory.
The Danish team won third place after defeating Tunisian counterpart 2-0 in a match to determine third and fourth places.
The crowning ceremony took place in the presence of President of the QHA Ahmed Al Shaabi, Secretary General of the QHA Mohammed Jaber, and representatives of the International Handball Federation.
Qatar’s beach handball team reached the final after beating Tunisia 2-0 and Brazil 2-0, and a 1-2 loss to Denmark.
