Qatar Cinemas Showcase Global Film Releases with Diverse Genres


Doha: Qatar’s cinemas are showcasing a wide range of international films this week, in sync with their global theatrical releases.



According to Qatar News Agency, the featured titles span multiple genres, including thrillers, action, and animated films for children and families. Among the new releases is the thriller “The Stolen Girl,” which follows the emotional journey of an American woman who spends more than a decade searching for her daughter after she is abducted by the child’s father. The film stars Kate Beckinsale, Scott Eastwood, and Matt Craven, and is directed by James Kent.



Also showing is the action-packed sequel “High Rollers: Cash Out 2,” which centers on a professional thief named Mason, who is forced into a high-stakes heist during a single night. Racing against time, Mason must complete the job to save someone close to him. The film is directed by Randall Emmett and features John Travolta, Gina Gershon, and Lukas Haas.



For younger audiences and families, the animated adventure “Tavete” is now screening. The film tells the story of a young mongoose living in South Africa’s Kalahari Desert who embarks on a daring quest to find a healing flower after his grandfather is bitten by a snake. The journey unfolds through a series of exciting adventures. The film stars Cosima Henman, Kathleen A. Renish, and Dustin Semmelrogge, and is directed by Nina Wels.



In addition to these new releases, several previously screened titles such as “Caught Stealing” and “Freaky Friday” continue to run in local theaters.
