Qatar Charity Unveils ‘Ezwah wa Sanad’ Program to Spur Youth Volunteering Engagement.


Doha: Qatar Charity (QC)’s Ezdehar Incubator for Initiatives and Volunteering has launched a community program intended for boosting youth engagement in volunteering and community work. The ‘Ezwah wa Sanad’ program has been rolled out in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth in a bid to unite youth efforts across the country and to train young people to carry out community tasks, organize events and activities, connect them with the local community, and strengthen partnerships with various entities and initiatives to support community development.

According to Qatar News Agency, it directly targets youth, both male and female, aged 18 and above, with a special focus on those in areas outside the capital, Doha, to provide the targeted areas with qualified youth expertise. The program aims to engage 120 participants, with 20 young men and 20 young women from each of the three targeted areas, as part of their social responsibility.

QC’s Chief Local Programs Officer Faisal Rashid Al Fehaida highli
ghted the program’s role in promoting a culture of community service within Qatari society, particularly among youth. He stated that the program reflects the role of Ezdehar in empowering youth for charitable and community work. He indicated that, with a week-long training led by experts and practical experience, it equips participants to design and manage community events confidently in their areas. He also hoped that it will strengthen connections between youth and initiatives dedicated to community service across Qatar.

Al Fehaida urged youth to join the program, hoping they would gain valuable benefits. He also thanked the Ministry of Sports and Youth for supporting the program through its youth center and by hosting training workshops.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth’s Director of Youth Affairs Fawaz Al Mesafri said that the program aims to boost youth engagement in community work by preparing them for leadership roles with a social impact through organizing activities and events. Al Mesafri encourage
d youth to benefit from this program, which will be held at youth centers offering various training workshops. He thanked the QC for continuously supporting the ministry in empowering youth, as well as the trainers for helping youth achieve the goals of the “Ezwah wa Sanad” program.
