Qatar Charity (QC) launched the 2nd edition of the Tamkeen program, which supports entrepreneurs and small projects.

This edition was held under the slogan “Tomorrows success we create today.” Tamkeen is organized by QC in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and Family, the Ministry of commerce and Industry, Qatar Development Bank, Social Development Center – NAMA, Qatar University, First International Development For Consulting, and Convoso for technical solutions.



In this context, director of Programs and Community Development at QC Abdul Rahman Al Hajiri said: “We are pleased to launch the second edition of the Tamkeen program, which aims to provide support to owners of small business and projects through an integrated training program in cooperation with partner agencies to help them develop the skills that enable them to start and succeed in their projects,” Al Hajri added: “that QC places at the top of its priorities its community programs that invest in the human capital and improve the living conditions of families with limited income, as well enhance the financial and social stability of deserving families, elevating them from needing assistance to development.” Program partners praised Tamkeen and QCs keenness on involving both government and private agencies in empowering economic projects, thus, supporting the Qatari community and achieving the economic development pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which focuses on developing a diversified and competi
tive national economy capable of meeting the needs of the citizens and residents in Qatar.



For her part, First International Development For Consulting representative Ghada Mohammed Al Emadi said her establishment considers the empowerment of projects an essential part of the modern economy, stimulating innovation, creating job opportunities, and improving product and service quality.



For his part, the Convoso representative said that Convoso believes in the potential of startups and their ability to drive innovation, economic growth, and social change, adding that the primary focus is on supporting young entrepreneurs and helping them become productive.



The 1st edition of the Tamkeen program which was launched in 2020 achieving good results. QC and its partners followed up on the winning projects and their work, supporting them via a promotional campaign, which encouraged the youth to engage in similar entrepreneurial projects.
