Qatar Charity Implements Emergency Water Project in Yemen

Qatar: Qatar Charity (QC) has launched an emergency water project in Taiz, Yemen, to help address the city's severe water crisis. The project is a response to the urgent need for water in the region, where access has become increasingly difficult due to prolonged drought conditions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the initiative has benefited approximately 13,500 residents across three main districts in Taiz: Al Mudaffar, Salh, and Al Qahira. The distribution network covers 108 water points, with 36 strategically located in each district to maximize reach and efficiency.

Taiz is currently experiencing one of the most severe water emergencies in Yemen. This crisis is especially acute in the elevated neighborhoods, where water supply interruptions can persist for months, forcing families to endure significant financial and physical hardships in their daily quest for drinking water.
