Qatar Charity and NRC Forge Strategic Partnership to Aid Displaced Communities

Doha: Qatar Charity and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding to address major challenges facing displaced people around the world.

According to Qatar News Agency, the MoU was signed by Mohammed Al Ghamdi, Assistant CEO for Governance and External Relations at Qatar Charity, and Martin Andreas Suvatne, Director of Institutional Partnerships at NRC. The agreement aims to enhance collaboration between the two organizations in the fields of humanitarian assistance and development.

The partnership marks the beginning of a long-term relationship based on mutual trust and respect. It serves as a key step in fostering cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the development of impactful humanitarian projects that benefit vulnerable communities in crisis-affected regions. This collaboration will provide both organizations with the opportunity to explore new avenues of support in areas such as humanitarian aid, sustainable solutions, education, and water and sanitation.

Efforts will be carried out through joint programs and innovative projects designed to deliver comprehensive solutions to refugees and displaced people in numerous countries. Mohammed Al Ghamdi expressed enthusiasm about the MoU, emphasizing its significance to Qatar Charity's ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with international humanitarian organizations. He noted that the MoU is part of Qatar Charity's continuous pursuit of strategic alliances with global organizations that share its mission, particularly those focused on providing aid to displaced communities.

Al Ghamdi stated, "This MoU represents our commitment to building productive partnerships with international humanitarian organizations, which will enable us to create innovative solutions that address the needs of displaced people and crisis-affected communities." Martin Andreas Suvatne highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating it was a positive step toward strengthening global humanitarian efforts. He added that NRC, which supports refugees and displaced persons in over 40 countries, values the collaboration with Qatar Charity and hopes the MoU will lead to fruitful outcomes in delivering humanitarian assistance and sustainable solutions to displacement.
