Qatar Charity and Education Above All Lead Humanitarian and Educational Efforts in Gaza


Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) has announced its urgent relief interventions aimed at supporting displaced and affected families in the Gaza Strip. This initiative is part of Qatar’s ongoing aid efforts to provide food and medical assistance to the most vulnerable families in the region.



According to Qatar News Agency, the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, a global development and education foundation, has successfully reopened the Al Fakhoora House in Gaza. Supported by the Qatar Fund for Development, this vital educational hub was tragically destroyed during the war on the Gaza Strip, which began in October 2023. The reopening of Al Fakhoora House marks a significant step toward restoring educational opportunities in the region.



Further demonstrating Qatar’s commitment to international cooperation, HE Governor of the Qatar Central Bank Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani recently met with Jonathan Gray, President and Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone Group. Meanwhile, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) recognized Qatar for its contributions to training fellowship programs by awarding a certificate of appreciation to the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA).



In addition to these diplomatic and humanitarian efforts, Qatar has been active in several international forums. The Shura Council took part in meetings and symposiums focused on public health and women’s leadership. The State of Qatar also participated in the third AI Action Summit in Paris, led by HE Minister of Communication and Information Technology Mohammed bin Ali Almannai.



Qatar’s commitment to cultural and community development was highlighted by Qatar Museums’ announcement of open days at significant archaeological sites and the launch of the “Taste of Qatar” program to enhance dining experiences across the country. Moreover, the Qatar-KSA Trade Mission 2025, facilitated by Qatar Development Bank, resulted in QR 1.5 billion in purchase orders through over 1,400 bilateral meetings.



On the sports front, Qatar’s Al Rayyan team strengthened its lead in the West Asia Men’s Volleyball Clubs Championship, and preparations for the HH The Amir Sword Festival and the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals Doha 2025 are well underway. These events reflect Qatar’s ongoing dedication to promoting sports and cultural engagement on the global stage.
