Qatar Bourse Edges Higher as Trading Volumes Swell

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange closed slightly higher on Monday, with the main index adding 32.07 points, or 0.30%, to finish at 10,736.47.

According to Qatar News Agency, trading activity was robust, with more than 80 million shares changing hands across 27,608 transactions. The total value of trades reached QR 289.03 million.

Market performance was mixed: 15 companies saw their shares rise, 30 declined, while seven ended the session unchanged. The exchange's total market capitalisation rose to QR 641.8 billion, up from QR 638.8 billion at the previous close, reflecting modest investor optimism despite uneven sectoral performance.
