Muscat: A delegation from the Ministry of Labour (MOL) has concluded a two-day visit to the Sultanate of Oman, aimed at discussing avenues for enhancing cooperation between Qatar and Oman in the labor field. The discussions centered around strengthening coordination and deliberating on the executive program for cooperation from 2025 to 2027.
According to Qatar News Agency, the delegation was led by Assistant Undersecretary for National Manpower Affairs in the Private Sector, Khames Mohammed Al Naimi, and Assistant Undersecretary for Migrant Labour Affairs at MOL, Hamad Faraj Dalmouk. The delegation, comprising a technical team, engaged in multiple meetings with officials from Oman's Ministry of Labour, including representatives from various directorates, labor, human resource development sectors, and relevant professional associations.
The discussions focused on a proposed program that features several cooperation fields, particularly the exchange of professional expertise and studies related to labor and workforce empowerment. The program aims to enhance mutual visits between the two countries to facilitate knowledge sharing and the exchange of national competencies across various sectors.
Additionally, the program outlines cooperation in organizing events, exhibitions, and workshops of mutual interest, alongside implementing a professional training module. The ultimate goal is to advance national competencies and integrate them effectively into the labor market.
