Doha:HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani engaged in phone talks with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abbas Araghchi to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion centered on the cooperation between Qatar and Iran, with both officials exploring ways to further strengthen ties. They exchanged views on diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at reducing tensions and restoring security and stability in the region.

HE Sheikh Mohammed emphasized Qatar's support for initiatives that seek to ensure the freedom of maritime navigation and the formulation of a comprehensive agreement to facilitate lasting peace in the region. Qatar has consistently advocated for dialogue and diplomatic solutions to regional disputes, highlighting the importance of coordinated international efforts to prevent further escalation.
