Cairo: The State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concerning joint cooperation between the Public Prosecutions of both countries. The agreement was co-signed by HE Qatar's Attorney General Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, who is currently visiting Cairo, and HE Egypt's Attorney General Counselor Mohamed Shawky.
According to Qatar News Agency, the MoU aims to enhance cooperation in all scientific, research, and training fields. It also includes collaboration in organizing conferences and seminars, as well as the exchange of studies and publications issued by both parties.
HE the Qatari Attorney General met separately with HE the Egyptian Attorney General and HE Counselor Ahmed Saeed Khalil, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Unit of the Arab Republic of Egypt. During these meetings, views were exchanged on a number of topics of common interest and ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the field of combating money laundering, exchanging expertise, and training.
