Doha: The State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt have expressed their approval of the announcement by Hamas regarding its decision to release the American hostage Edan Alexander, who had been held by the group.

According to Qatar News Agency, both nations view this agreement as a positive step towards resuming negotiations aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
