Beijing: The civil aviation authorities of both the State of Qatar and the People's Republic of China convened a meeting in Beijing to discuss enhancing cooperation in operational matters for their national carriers. The aim is to develop capabilities ensuring the efficient continuity of air traffic and addressing topics of mutual interest.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was led by Mohammed bin Faleh Al Hajri, the In Charge of Managing Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), while the Chinese side was represented by Chen Wei, Director General of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The discussions culminated in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) designed to increase transport rights for passenger and cargo flights between the two nations. The agreement also includes cooperation in code-sharing between designated carriers, paving the way for enhanced collaboration in air transport.
The MoU is expected to yield positive outcomes in economic and investment activities and bolster trade exchange between Qatar and China, opening new horizons for cooperation in the field of air transport.
