Doha: Qatar reached the quarterfinals of HH the Amir Volleyball Cup for the 2025-2026 season after defeating Al Khor 3-0 in their match today, part of the first group stage of the qualifiers held at the Qatar Volleyball Association Hall.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar secured the victory with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, and 25-13, marking their second win in the competition following an initial victory over Al Gharafa 3-1. This success gave them a perfect record of 6 points, allowing them to top their group.
Meanwhile, Al Gharafa finished second with 3 points, also securing their place in the quarterfinals. Al Khor, after two consecutive losses, were eliminated from the competition, finishing third with no points.
In a Group B match, Al Ahli qualified for the same round after defeating Al Shamal 3-1 with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 13-25, and 25-21, securing second place with 3 points. Al Shamal were eliminated from the competition after experiencing two consecutive losses.
Al Sadd had already booked their place in the quarterfinals after achieving victories against Al Shamal (3-0) and Al Ahli (3-1) in the qualifying rounds, allowing them to lead their group.
