Doha: The 47th CISM World Military Parachuting Championship (CISM Qatar 2025) is not merely a sporting competition, but rather a platform to share expertise and promote the spirit of fraternity among military personnel, along with the values of discipline, courage, and confidence that represent the core of this sport, HE President of the Qatar Air Sports Committee (QASC), Brig. Gen. Mohammed bin Zayed Al Otaibi, affirmed.

According to Qatar News Agency, in his remarks during the opening of the tournament, Al Otaibi said that the gathering of world countries in Doha under the umbrella of this long-standing championship conveys a profound sporting and humanitarian message. This tournament confirms that military sports have been and continue to forge a bridge for promoting acquaintances, serving as a hub that brings together cultures, and a vehicle for strengthening the values of friendship and peace among militaries across various continents, he underlined.

Al Otaibi welcomed the participating delegations and guests, stressing that Qatar has consistently proven its capability to professionally host major global sporting events. Qatar's organization of this championship would never have been achieved without the immense expertise and advanced potential it possesses in hosting major tournaments, proving time and again that it remains a global hub capable of demonstrating creativity in terms of organization and providing a full and secure experience for all participants, added Al Otaibi.

For his part, President of CISM, Colonel Nilton Gomes Rolim Filho, praised the organization of the tournament.
