Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani sent on Sunday a cable of congratulations to HE Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba on the anniversary of his country's Union Day.

According to Qatar News Agency, the message from the Qatari Prime Minister marks a gesture of goodwill and a strengthening of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Tanzania. The Union Day, celebrated by Tanzania, commemorates the day of the political union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar to form the United Republic of Tanzania. The diplomatic correspondence reflects the ongoing efforts to foster mutual cooperation and friendship between the two nations.
