Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani sent a cable of congratulations to HE Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania Kassim Majaliwa, on the occasion of his country's Union Day.

According to Qatar News Agency, the cable from the Qatari Prime Minister was a gesture of goodwill and diplomatic relations between the two nations, celebrating Tanzania's Union Day. This occasion marks the union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar, forming the United Republic of Tanzania.
