Addis Ababa: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, has sent a written message to HE Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, focusing on bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between the State of Qatar and the African Union.

According to Qatar News Agency, the message was delivered by HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, during his meeting with HE the Chairperson of the AUC in Addis Ababa. The meeting included discussions on cooperation relations between the two sides and the latest developments in Africa, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, HE the AUC Chairperson acknowledged the role played by the State of Qatar in mediation and conflict resolution. The Chairperson expressed appreciation for Qatar's continuous efforts to support stability and promote peace globally, with a focus on the African continent.
