Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Asaad Al Shaibani, who is visiting the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on discussing bilateral relations and exploring ways to support and enhance cooperation between the two nations. They also addressed the latest developments in Syria and several topics of mutual interest.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the State of Qatar’s support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and independence. He reiterated Qatar’s commitment to supporting the aspirations of the Syrian people for a dignified life and the establishment of a state based on institutions and law. Additionally, His Excellency affirmed Qatar’s backing for reconstruction, development, and stability efforts in Syria.
