Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, who is visiting Qatar. The meeting focused on ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, discussions centered around Qatar's support for the negotiations between the United States and Iran taking place in Muscat. Sheikh Mohammed expressed optimism that these talks could lead to a comprehensive agreement benefiting both parties and enhancing regional security and stability.

His Excellency emphasized the importance of collective efforts to mitigate the impacts of regional escalation. He underscored the significance of continuing coordination with both brotherly and friendly nations to resolve differences through diplomatic channels.
