Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic Antonio Tajani. The call focused on the military escalation in the region and its implications for regional and international security and stability, emphasizing peaceful dispute resolution methods.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs condemned the Iranian attacks on Qatar's territory, declaring them unacceptable under any circumstances. He highlighted Qatar's commitment to avoiding regional conflicts and promoting dialogue between Iran and the international community.
His Excellency expressed concern over the targeting of critical infrastructure, particularly those related to water, food, and energy, warning that such actions pose risks to the region's populations. He called for an immediate cessation of escalatory actions, urging a return to negotiations, rationality, and efforts to resolve the crisis for regional security.
In response, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic emphasized the need for de-escalation and diplomatic negotiations to prevent further disorder.
