Doha:HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Asaad Al Shaibani during the latter's visit to Qatar on Monday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, the latest developments in Syria, and various issues of mutual interest.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's ongoing support for Syria's unity, sovereignty, and independence. He highlighted Qatar's backing of the Syrian people's aspirations for a dignified life and the establishment of a state governed by institutions and the rule of law.

Furthermore, His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to supporting efforts for Syria's reconstruction and promoting stability in the region.
