Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty. The conversation focused on bilateral relations and the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip and occupied Palestinian territories.
According to Qatar News Agency, both leaders discussed enhancing cooperation between their nations and exchanged views on the latest developments in the region. A key topic was the joint mediation efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire, facilitating the release of hostages and detainees, and addressing the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
The conversation highlighted the need for increased regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions through dialogue and peaceful means.
